CONTEST RULES FOR
THE JS&A TOP EXPO MARKETING AWARD
for COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2008 Conference & EXPO

The COMPTEL exhibitor who earns the most Marketing Points wins the Top EXPO Marketing Award, to be presented on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 3 P.M. on the EXPO floor- in front of your peers.

Here are ways to earn your Marketing Credits immediately:

 
1. WEEKLY TALLY

Email a weekly tally of all your show marketing to award@jaymiescotto.com.  Just for submitting your tally, even if it includes just one new marketing initiative for the week, you will receive points for participating.  And the earlier you submit, the more chances you have to win.

2. WEBPAGE POSTING

Send us a link of the webpage where you have the COMPTEL PLUS logo or banner posted. You get more points for more webpages, so go ahead and post a COMPTEL PLUS logo or banner on your homepage, on your news page, contact page and in your events section. Click here to download the banner and make sure it's hyperlinked to www.comptel.org.

3. NEWSLETTER POSTING

Post the COMPTEL PLUS logo or banner in your next newsletter(s) and earn Marketing Credits. For more points, feature the show within your newsletter content and ask your readers to meet you at the show. Please send us the link/newsletter every time you distribute.

4. SHOW E-SIGNATURES

Here's a fast and easy way to accrue more points! Get your team to include COMPTEL PLUS in your company e-signatures. In your email system (i.e., Outlook), click on "email signatures" and after your company details, please write "Come visit us at booth XXX at the Fall 2008 COMPTEL PLUS Conference & EXPO." Include the banner or logo posted here: http://www.comptel.org/content.asp?contentid=672 to add more points. Let us know in your weekly tally how many of your co-workers have this new "show e-signature".

5. SHOW EMAIL

Send a special, show email to all your partners, clients & prospects, letting them know that your company will be attending the show and you would like to meet them at your booth. Include a show logo: http://www.comptel.org/content.asp?contentid=672. Remember, you get points for how many folks you email and for how many booth meetings you arrange (see #1), so this is a highly-recommended idea.

6. BOOTH STAFFING

Staff your booth during all EXPO hours and get acknowledged for your efforts. Send us your plan for booth staffing (include who and when) and earn points. The key is to not have an unattended booth while the judges are on the prowl during the EXPO hours.

7. POSTCARD MAILING

Planning on sending out a direct mail piece but looking for the perfect time? Now's the time!  Add "Meet Us at COMPTEL PLUS" on the mailer and accrue more points.  Include a show logo or banner and earn more. In your weekly tally, please include the postcard design and the number of recipients.  

 

18 points for each postcard, 20 points per postcard with logo/banner, additional 5 points to the company with the top # of recipients                   
8. BLOG OR SOCIAL NETWORKING POSTING

Mention the show in an upcoming blog posting. This blog could be part of your company's website and/or on your company's profile within a social networking site (ie, facebook,MySpace, etc.). If you include a show logo, banner or link back to www.comptel.org, earn more points! If you send an email out to your contacts to let them know of your new blog on COMPTEL PLUS, see point #5!

9. PRESS RELEASE MENTION

If you are planning a special announcement, reception, promotion or raffle on-site at COMPTEL PLUS and want to earn Marketing Credits while doing it, include the news in an upcoming press release.  Just by mentioning "COMPTEL PLUS" in your release, you can earn points. Earn more if you distribute the release over a newswire of your choice.

 

20 points for each press release, 24 points if posted on a newswire              
10. SHOW ADVERTISING

Include "COMPTEL PLUS" on your already existing ad design, and earn more points.  Rack up more points if you include a show logo or banner from here: http://www.comptel.org/content.asp?contentid=672.  Please include the ad design and intended magazine in your weekly tally.

11.  AND THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!

JS&A will consider any other creative marketing approaches to drive more traffic to your booth (excluding show sponsorship initiatives). If you have added your booth# and show info to brochures, signs, webinars, client demos, anything- we will make sure your efforts are recognized! The more creative- the more points. JS&A will consider each creative effort and allocate up to 25 points per initiative appropriately.
