Roxie Sarhangi Headshot Roxie Sarhangi’s unique background in entertainment, education, and the arts brings a multi-faceted and diverse voice to JS&A.

Prior to joining JS&A, Roxie served as the assistant managing director for the prestigious Edgemar Center for the Arts. In this position, she contributed to marketing and public relations efforts, and helped coordinate and cultivate the literary department, art center classes, art gallery shows, and red carpet events.

In 2005, Roxie founded a highly-acclaimed dramatic play program for youth. Her innovative teaching approach and creative marketing techniques successfully advanced the program to become one of the first drama curriculums of its kind to be offered at Los Angeles area schools.

Early in her career, Roxie worked in series development and programming for MTV. Here, she collaborated with writers and producers on story ideas, and acted as the communication liaison between the network, executives, and viewers. In this role, Roxie developed a keen ability to communicate with a broad range of individuals and personalities.

Roxie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at UCLA, and also earned a degree in Theatre Arts. In addition, Roxie was one of the first reporters for UCLA Bruin News 29. Her studies and professional work in acting and creative writing contribute to her specialized insight and skills within human relations, relationship building, and human behavior. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, films, hiking, and embarking on discoveries that spark her incessant curiosity.
