Hunter Newby’s Take on Communications in America

Posted by Jaymie Scotto on July 12th, 2011

John Savageau, President of Pacific-Tier Communications, has published a three-part series from Allied Fiber’s CEO, Hunter Newby. This series includes Hunter’s take on the current and future state of communications in America. The third entry in this series focuses on Net Neutrality and the confusion behind understanding the definition of this widely-used term.

In this article, Hunter explains how Net Neutrality is not about the Internet, but is in fact about physical access to the Internet.  Hunter believes its essential to keep access neutral and explains the role Allied Fiber plays in creating neutral connectivity through its long-haul and short-haul fiber system.
