New York, New York – June 10, 2009 - Atlantic Metro Communications, a recognized SAS 70 managed Internet service provider offering colocation, IP transit, nation-wide transport and metro area dark fiber solutions, announces that it has completed a custom dark fiber network solution for HTN Communications, a leading provider of transmission facilities and services to the sports and broadcast and cable marketplace into Yankee Stadium.
HTN required a solution that could be implemented quickly and that would provide necessary access to HTN’s National Fiber Optic Network for direct content hand-off from the newly-constructed Stadium to HTN’s end users. Atlantic Metro worked closely with its vendors and partners to ensure the custom dark fiber network would meet with HTN’s DTM (dynamic transfer mode) network requirements well within the given timeframe. As a result, HTN is currently using the high-availability dark fiber network to provide television, radio and cable transmission services of the Yankee games and other live events held at the stadium.
“HTN trusted us for a quick network implementation,” commented Stephen Klenert, CEO of Atlantic Metro. “We worked against an aggressive deadline to ensure that HTN could test and deploy the connection prior to opening day. Our team worked day and night to install the newly-constructed network, completed on March 17th, two weeks ahead of schedule, which more than satisfied our client’s requirements.”
In addition to providing the underlying dark fiber network, Atlantic Metro continues to provide HTN with first-level support, maintenance and management of the network, leveraging Atlantic Metro’s state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC). Atlantic Metro is a full-service managed infrastructure provider that offers complete custom network solutions, including colocation services, Internet transit and metro Ethernet in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
