NEW YORK, NY– April 21, 2009 – DealCenter, LLC, the online social networking and meeting planning system for trade shows, expos and online communities, announces today the addition of Dr. John Schaefer as its new Director of Business Development. Dr. Schaefer brings nearly twenty years of experience to DealCenter, including business development, sales, technical expertise and extensive client relationship management.
Dr. Schaefer is a valuable addition to the DealCenter team as the company enters a key period of new growth and software innovation. Within the last quarter alone, DealCenter has deployed four new online meeting planners for attendees and exhibitors attending telecommunications trade shows and conferences. Additionally, the DealCenter 24/7 product, an online networking and communications tool for industry-specific and intra-business communities, has been deployed on TMCNet’s Dark Fiber Community, hosted by Allied Fiber. The company’s latest growth is a direct result of conferences and online communities need to illustrate trackable ROI, including the number of total meetings pre-planned and conducted, during this tight economy. With this new growth, DealCenter continues to court the best and brightest in software technology and business development, including Dr. John Schaefer.
Prior to joining DealCenter, Dr. Schaefer founded and developed Paradux/Concepts, LLC for nearly 14 years, managing over 150 employees and developing over 550 software products and web enabled applications. His company was then acquired by a partner of Computer Associates (CA), Inc. in 2001, and in 2004 he then joined CA, Inc. as a direct hire. He has spent the last four years ensuring a successful transition and integration of CA’s North American Professional Services and Education P&L as VP and General Manager. Dr. Schaefer was also responsible for revenue generation, maintaining sales budgets and creating forecasts to meet the financial goals established each fiscal year. He was awarded the CA Technology Services “Best Partner In The Business Award” two years in a row for exceeding sales and customer service targets.
