Next-Gen Broadband Access Solutions for the New York Metro Market
Blogs, Commercial Real Estate Technology, Data Center, Global Telecommunications, IP Exchange, Marketing, Public Relations, Telco 2.0, Telecom, Telecommunications, Uncategorized, colocation January 5th, 2009January 5, 2009 – Today, Atlantic Metro Communications and Rainbow Broadband announced a partnership to offer fully diverse, business-class broadband solutions in the New York Metro Market. What this means is that commercial building operators will now have a choice, other than the local incumbent, on whom they could use to access the Internet and provide high-speed broadband services to their tenants.
It is estimated that only 10% of buildings in New York City are adequately wired to handle the growing demand of corporate businesses that require large Internet bandwidth requirements. This means that though companies would be seemingly in a ‘buyers’ market from a real-estate standpoint, they are limited in their options due to the increasing demand businesses have for Internet use. THIS SOLUTION SOLVES THAT PROBLEM! How so?
The Atlantic Metro and Rainbow Broadband solution offers a fully meshed, dual path solution that uniquely combines terrestrial fiber and microwave technologies. This means that buildings will have Microwave technology – Broadband in the ’sky’ combined with traditional fiber technology – broadband in the ’street.’ Both solutions are completely diverse from the incumbents providing users with a one-of-a-kind option that is COST EFFECTIVE, EFFICIENT, RELIABLE and will offer users, in most cases, 100% SLAs.
Here is what Rainbow Broadband and Atlantic Metro have to say about this solution:
“Together with Atlantic Metro, our solution solves some of the most complex networking requirements faced by New York City’s commercial building owners and operators,” stated Russ Hamm, Founder and President of Rainbow Broadband. “Today, more businesses require and rely on high-bandwidth Internet connections, and now commercial building managers have a reliable, easy to provision, high-technology solution that will more than meet businesses growing Internet connectivity requirements in the market.”
“Rainbow Broadband’s unique WiMAX solution, using dedicated microwave antennas to deliver last mile network solutions, is the ideal partner for Atlantic Metro’s terrestrial-based Ethernet network,” added Stephen Klenert, CEO of Atlantic Metro Communications. “Business operators now have a completely redundant and fully-diverse network solution that leverages the latest communication technology underground and in the sky.”
Services can be provisioned within a couple of days to meet special event requirements and can enable high-speed connectivity for full building deployment within 30-45 business days. The service offers a completely diverse network solution from the incumbent providers and comes with an extremely competitive Service Level Agreement (SLA), 24×7 Managed Network Support, 24×7 Customer Service support in network speeds from 2Mbps to Multiple Gigabits. Broadband is the best thing that has ever happened, not only is the internet faster and cheaper, it does not interfere with telephone connections. This has made internet access easy and lots of fun as downloading favorite videos, music and files take a very short time.
