October 18, 2008:  There are women in VoIP, really.  We all come from various backgrounds and specialties but more importantly we influence, drive and develop the technologies that enable VoIP communications around the world.  Suzanne Bowen, CEO of Super Technologies, a Hosted White Label VoIP provider has started a group on Facebook that gathers these women to discuss ways we could become more visible in the global VoIP community.  As a minority among the majority of men behind the global telecommunications industry, seldom is a women featured as an expert panelist, speaker or presenter at a conference – though there are many of us capable of speaking on the topic from various angles.

For instance, consider a woman such as Tehila Frenkel, VP at Russtel.  She has extensive relationships with global carriers and is highly knowledgeable about wholesale rates and quality routes for buying and selling global VoIP termination.

Carrie Hartford who at IPsmarx guides clients through every step of the process of starting a VoIP business. From helping them decide what services to offer, to making sure they have the right tools to implement the best solution for them.

Jaymie Scotto-Cutaia, CEO and founder of Jaymie Scotto & Associates and I (where I am an Executive Vice President), provide public relations and marketing communications services to telecom companies.  Our extensive experience in telecom and our ability to understand the nuances of the technology and services driving these companies provide an invaluable service to VoIP providers in creating messages, media campaigns and branding that is appealing to the variety of people operating within the sector.

There are women from the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Ecuador and all corners of the United States part of a growing community interested to work together, share ideas and help position one another on the forefront of the industry.

So whether your a leader, follower, pioneer or even know qualified women in VoIP.  We want you to hear from you, share your ideas and let your voice be heard.   Get involved, not because your a woman or know one, but to provide the industry as a whole the opportunity to hear what you have to say.

Come – collaborate with us!
