October 18, 2008:  There are women in VoIP, really.  We all come from various backgrounds and specialties but more importantly we influence, drive and develop the technologies that enable VoIP communications around the world.  Suzanne Bowen, CEO of Super Technologies, a Hosted White Label VoIP provider has started a group on Facebook that gathers these women to discuss ways we could become more visible in the global VoIP community.  As a minority among the majority of men behind the global telecommunications industry, seldom is a women featured as an expert panelist, speaker or presenter at a conference – though there are many of us capable of speaking on the topic from various angles.

For instance, consider a woman such as Tehila Frenkel, VP at Russtel.  She has extensive relationships with global carriers and is highly knowledgeable about wholesale rates and quality routes for buying and selling global VoIP termination.
