Corning to Provide Optical Cabling Solutions for Miami-to-Atlanta Segment of Allied Fiber’s Network-Neutral System Build
Corning Incorporated announces that is has been selected as the optical cable supplier for the Miami-Atlanta segment of Allied Fiber’s network-neutral system build. The 754-mile Miami-to-Atlanta route, which began construction in April, is expected to be completed by the end of 2013. The network-neutral system is intended to provide an abundant supply of next-generation fiber available for lease, as legacy backhaul network infrastructures can no longer support the exponential growth occurring in the industry. Allied Fiber Launches Miami to Atlanta Segment of its Network-Neutral Fiber and Colocation System
Allied Fiber announces today that it has begun construction on the Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA segment of its planned nationwide network system. Beginning in Florida, the Miami to Jacksonville, FL segment of this route will continue north to Valdosta, GA where it will connect with 150 miles of Allied Fiber’s next-generation fiber optic system that was completed in February of 2012.
